SKELETONWITCH: 'Bringers Of Death' Video Available
September 29, 2010At the request of the mad geniuses behind Adult Swim and Scion A/V, blackened-thrash titans SKELETONWITCH traveled to Atlanta the day after finishing their stint on Ozzfest's second stage to appear in a video for their track "Bringers Of Death", a B-side from 2007's "Beyond The Permafrost" that was previously unreleased in North America. The video was commissioned by Adult Swim as part of their free "Metal Swim" collection, which features this video as well as 16 new and rare tracks from some of today's heaviest bands. Check out this sick and twisted video below.
Nearly 200 behind-the-scenes pictures from the video shoot — including some shots of the band hanging out with the video's stunt coordinator, Amy Dumas (the former WWF/WWE wrestler "Lita") — can be seen at this location.
Guitarist Scott Hedrick commented: "It's an absolute pleasure to be involved with people who do what they do because they love doing it, and not for any other fucking reason. That's been our mentality since day one, and all the bands on this compilation and everyone at Adult Swim seems to share our point of view. We're happy to be in such great company and a part of a FREE compilation for any and everyone who likes heavy music. It was also killer to be a part of the music video that accompanies the comp. The good people at Adult Swim kept a cooler full of Budweiser for us at the shoot, but what we remember of it was a blast! Heavy metal is indeed still the law...AND it is still fucking fun!"
SKELETONWITCH just returned from the "European Bangover Tour" and, as previously mentioned, spent the summer touring with Ozzfest, as well as touring Canada with HIGH ON FIRE. The band will headline the "North American Skullsplitter Tour 2010" later this fall with Prosthetic labelmates WITHERED (who also appear on "Metal Swim") and LANDMINE MARATHON.
